Action Plan

What I learned

I learned that there are a variety of devices, technology, and programs created to support learners of all abilities as a result of this course.

I also learned that I regularly engage with many supports on a daily basis within the classroom (Read+Write & Speech to Text), which made this course more relatable.

UDL was also a revolutionary concept.

Hope for growth

I hope to continue to use assistive technology for the various learners I will come into contact with through my career in teaching. I have already introduced a few programs, Piktochart and Canva, to my coworkers at my employment.

Digital incorporation

While I've been using Google Classroom since the start of the Covid pandemic, I hope to create more interactive worksheets that allow for various abilities to complete. By doing this, there will be more opportunities for students to submit work with the support required will involve using career prep skills (technology).

Aha Moment & Goals

I always have the assistive button on my iPhone- I assumed everyone has it! I want to normalize assistive technology rather than make it seem like a unique tool only for differently-abled individuals.
